Thought I would let you guys know about this maybe I'll see some of you on the track.
Introducing IFCA ALMS Series 1; the series where drivers race high performance, specially considered
cars taking inspiration from the GT Championship!
A great new addition for 2010 is the conception of the IFCA ALMS series, bringing the world of GT racing directly into your homes! Choosing between 7 different cars from 7 different manufacturers, drivers will contest the GT category of an ALMS race meeting ensuring the racing fast, and action jam-packed!
Racing on Saturdays at 15:00 CST / 21:00 GMT(UK) / 04:00 West OZ, the series will travel the virtual globe and race on many great tracks, starting at Road Atlanta Full in the USA, which is used within the actual American Le Mans Series. Following from this, Spain and the Circuit de Catalunya awaits, racing the National configuration, before moving to Silverstone and Nurburgring GP for races 3 and 4. The final 4 tracks, Road America Full, Camino Viejo Extreme, Sebring Full and Le Mans Full will allow the championship to come to a fantastic conclusion with each track testing the cars capabilities!
For Series 1, there will be 3 Championships to contend, depending on your own situation. All drivers will battle it out for the Drivers Championship honour, but then whether you run in a Team or as an Independent will determine will determine whether you will compete for the Teams Championship or the Privateers Championship as well!
As an Official Supported event by Turn 10, there will be in-game credits and gift cars to be won! Drivers placing in the Top 5 will earn themselves a share of the prize pot, with the winner also gaining a gift car of his choice. All those drivers that complete the series with 100% attendance (attending 8 out of 8 races) will also be put into a random draw to determine who receives another T10 gift car. Just a Thank You from us to you for being there from start to finish!
When does all of this begin? This event is scheduled to begin on the 24th April and run through consecutive weeks until the series finale on the 12th June. 8 weeks of intense GT racing that will contain drivers of all varying skill levels; definitely a venue to improve ones skill, but also to test ones ability against the best that Forza has to offer. The talent will be high, so bring your A game!
